Healthcare
Become a health partner.
Unlike the U.S. health care system, Haiti has very limited health insurance and few government-subsidized programs, leaving many people unable to afford quality care.
How the Health Partners program works: Your monthly donation helps provide health care for a Haitian individual or family for one year. Families first join a waiting list to be matched with a sponsor. Once matched, they enroll in a Health Development Account (HDA) by contributing a small annual amount ($1–$20 per family), and your partnership fills the remainder of the account. When they need care, they can use their HDA at Hospital Bienfaisance for preventive and curative health services.
Join us today and become a Health Partner for an individual or family, helping make high-quality health care possible in Haiti.
Support Health Partners Program
Want to be an agent for change in Haiti? Join Promise for Haiti by becoming a Health Partner. Because many families lack access to health care, they first join a waiting list to be matched with a sponsor. Once matched, your support helps them access both preventive and acute care.
By donating to the program, your partnership helps families stay healthy so students can attend school and parents can work. As a donor, you’ll receive the program’s annual newsletter and have the option to communicate with your sponsor family or provide additional support for their health care needs.
