David Ruehr
Welcome our Devleopment and Fundraising Partner - Reverend David Ruehr!
I was born in Venice, FL, and grew up in Little Rock, AR. At the age of 12, I made my first public profession of faith in Jesus Christ at Trinity United Methodist Church Little Rock, AR, a church that taught me by both precept and example the importance of Christian mission. I received my B.A. from Asbury College in 2008 and Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2012. I returned to Arkansas in 2012 and have been serving in full-time pastoral ministry ever since. My wife' name is Emily, and we've been married for 14 years. We have four children: Andrew (12), Abigail (10), Aiden (6), Allyson (3). I first traveled to Haiti with Bubba back in 2003, at which time I got to celebrate my 18th birthday in Pignon and eat goat in lieu of turkey for Thanksgiving! My grandparents were actively involved in Haiti missions going back many years. My Grandfather, John, first traveled to Pignon in the early 90s on a trip to install water systems at the Hospital Bienfaisance. To be able to serve alongside you in this capacity is an opportunity to carry on my family's legacy of serving the wonderful people of Haiti.
