A note Promise for Haiti received from Melvin:

I was in shock and horror watching the Haiti earthquake unfold on television. My immediate reaction was, “What can I do to help?” Then I remembered a file cabinet full of Haiti photographs. I had been hired as a travel photographer by an advertising agency and fell in love with the country and its people. I decided to donate prints of my photographs to the relief effort. I would offer these prints as a premium to encourage people to contribute money to help Haitians in the aftermath of the earthquake.    I call the photo series The Strength and Hope of the Haitian People.

I remembered the Hopital Bienfaisance de Pignon from my ABC News Person of the Week story on Dr. Guy Theodore.
I knew this would be the perfect place to direct the donations to help Haitians during this tragedy and assist the hospital in continuing their efforts to promote the health and well being of Haiti for the long run.

We sincerely thank Melvin for his generosity
