The Haitian Education & Literacy Program's (H.E.L.P.) goal is to connect students and sponsors so that children attending Pignon area schools can be educated.  The scholarships are created to provide a student's tuition relieving the family of the financial burden. The program design provides the sponsor with regular reports of student progress and information about their families.

There are two ways to sponsor a student for scholarship:

1. By calling the H.E.L.P. office at 641-628-9353.
The Education Coordinator will assign a child from
a waiting list compiled by the Comité Bienfaisance de Pignon.

2. By going to the H.E.L.P. office while in Pignon, Sponsors
may select students from the Application List on display
in the administrative office in Pignon.

Please contact Adele Romelus or Gyrlene Jean-Pierre.

Primary Education Sponsorship Opportunity:

$100/year - Primary School
The official primary school cycle requires children to spend 6 years in school before becoming eligible for the state exam granting them a certificate of primary education (CEP).

Secondary Education Sponsorship Opportunity

$290/year - Secondary School
