Dr. Batsch shares his thoughts immediately upon his return from Port-au-Prince. He was able to locate his family there and talks about what he saw and the challenge that looms ahead for the hospital in Pignon and the country of Haiti.












Patients Arrive at the Hospital





Victims from Port-au-Prince arrive daily and are cared for by the finest doctors in Haiti. The Hospital de Bienfaisance in Pignon features state-of-the-art operating rooms with the best staff and equipment.












Families of patients are also arriving in Pignon with nowhere to stay, nothing to eat and no prospect of help. These individuals need our support as they try to recover from this devastating event.

Promise for Haiti needs your help. Currently more victims of the earthquake are reaching the hospital everyday. While we are fortunate to have several medical teams from the USA arrive with much needed supplies, these will not last forever. We also have hundreds of family members arriving in Pignon with nothing but the clothes on their back.
